Questions about this book

What if the character doesn't look like my child?

You see their character before anything is printed. If it isn't quite them, send another photo and we'll create them again. If it still isn't right after two tries, we refund you in full.

I'm buying for a grandchild and don't have a photo.

Order now and tick "Buying as a gift". We'll email you a private link to send to their parent, who uploads the photo. The book is made once it arrives.

What happens to the photo?

It's used only to create their character and is deleted within 24 hours of you approving it. We never use it for marketing or to train AI models.

Is AI used to make the book?

Yes, AI helps us write and illustrate each book so it can be truly one of a kind. Every page is then checked before it is printed.

When will it arrive?

Their character arrives within 24 hours. Once you approve it, the book is printed within 3 working days and UK delivery takes 3 to 5 working days, or 1 to 2 with express. Order by 15 December for Christmas, or 18 December with express.

When do we get the digital copy?

We email a private link on the date you choose, or when your book is posted. Download it to keep; the link expires after [30] days.

What if there's a mistake in the book?

If we've made an error, such as a misprint, a missing page, words that don't match what you typed or a character that looks different from the one you approved, we'll reprint it free and send a corrected digital copy. Smaller slips, like a favourite object changing between pages, are reviewed by our book team and can be reprinted at half price. Because the watercolours are created individually for each page, small details in backgrounds and passing objects vary slightly; that's part of the style, not a fault. Read our returns and fixes promise.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

You can cancel for a full refund any time before you approve their character. After that, the book is made just for them, so we can't cancel it or take it back for a change of mind. Your legal rights for faulty goods aren't affected.

Which ages is it for?

Ages 1 to 10. We write the words for their age: short and rhythmic for little ones, a fuller adventure for confident readers.
